ELECTRICITY RATE UP FOR APRIL 2024
In addition, CENECO has fully refunded the net over–recoveries as of March 2024 in compliance with ERC CASE Nos. 2012-003CF, 2015-024CF and 2018-018CF.
On the other hand, Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) issued an advisory on the reduction in the Universal Charge Missionary Electrification (UC-ME) charge of Php 0.0239/kWh. The new UC-ME rate is now at Php 0.2238/kWh.
The pass-through charges equivalent to Php10.7700/kWh of the total electricity rate include the Generation and Transmission charges, ERC-approved adjustments, Government subsidies and taxes. Only P1.1866/kWh of the electricity rate goes to CENECO through Distribution, Supply, Metering (DSM) Charges for its administrative and operational services, and Reinvestment Fund for Sustainable CAPEX (RFSC).
Since 2010, CENECO’s DSM and RFSC rate has not changed.
In monitoring the monthly electricity usage, consumers are advised to look at their kilowatt-hour consumption and not on the bill amount since it varies depending on the pass-through charges as shown above.
CENECO Board and Management continue to remind its electricity consumers to conserve energy to avoid paying high electricity bills.
