NGCP SETS POWER INTERRUPTION ON APRIL 21

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will shut down its Bacolod-Silay 69kV transmission line (TL), affecting CENECO’s Talisay, Panaogao and Lopez substations, on April 21, Sunday.

CENECO shall take advantage of this downtime by implementing simultaneous maintenance works.

Details of this outage are as follows:

Date: April 21, 2024 – Sunday

Time: 6am to 6pm

Reasons:
•NGCP will conduct
1.Wood pole replacement along Silay-Victorias 69kV line section; and
2.Conduct relay resetting and testing of the line protection.

•CENECO’s Ride-on Activities:
1. Preventive maintenance and integrity testing of Talisay Substation,
Panaogao Substation and Lopez Substation and related accessories;
2. Integration of Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) Facility of the Substation;
3. Preventive maintenance of Bacolod-Silay 69kV transmission line;
4. Replacement of rotten primary poles; and
5. Tree clearing activities.

Electricity consumers are further advised that, in the event of any power interruption, electrical switch/es should be turned-off for safety reasons. When electricity supply resumes, please provide allowance of about 10-15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
